Multisport Event:
A nice practice run for the C2C. Start at the Domain with approx 36km bike, cycle eastwards to Balrazie Farm (1450 Rakaia Barrhill Methven Rd) where you transition to run. Marshals will be posted at the entrance of the property to guide you to where to leave your bikes. Run approx. 1.5km to kayaks through farm and riverbed. Enjoy the Kayak (depending on wind & river).

At transition, start run through riverbed, farmland onto Rakaia River Walkway. Run until directed down a bank into the Pony Club Cross Country area. Over the fence turn right and follow track, turn left through bush to a well-marked track around the Pony Club Cross Country area, and finish at the Rakaia Domain. Total run is approximately 13km.

1/2 Marthlon:
The 1/2 Marathon is a great challenge using part of the Long Run (14.2km) course. Following the 14.2km winding tracks through the riverbed. Start in the Rakaia Domain, along Normanby Road, into riverbed and its winding tracks.

Lucky 1/2 marathoners miss the scramble up the hill, instead running further up the riverbed for another couple of kms. Then back onto a wide farm track joining the 14.2 km course again, through riverbed to the Rakaia Walkway, down into the Rakaia Pony Club Cross Country Course, back out to Normanby Road to finish in the Domain.

Long Duathlon – Starts from the Rakaia Domain entrance with approx. 35km bike ride finishing back in the domain. Course has some tricky corners to keep bikers on the job. Transition to 14.6km run, running along Normanby Road, into riverbed, until the dreaded short scramble up the bank to a wide vehicle farm track where the speedsters can go for it; back into the riverbed to the Rakaia Walkway, down into Rakaia Pony Club Cross Country Course, out to Normanby Road to finish in the Domain.

Short Duathlon – Starts from the Rakaia Domain with approx. 25km bike ride finishing in the domain. Transition to 6km run, turn right into Normanby Road, follow track into Pony Club and follow track West, leave Pony Club, turn left into Rakaia River Terrace Walkway and follow track to finish.

Long Run – Approx. 14.2km run starting in the Rakaia Domain, running along Normanby Road, into riverbed, over irregular riverbed terrain, through scrub and bush, then a short scramble up the bank to a wide vehicle farm track, through riverbed to the Rakaia Walkway, down into the Rakaia Pony Club Cross Country Course, then homeward bound, out to Normanby Road and finish in the Domain.

Short Run – A great first run where it doesn't matter if you choose to walk. Still a challenge though for those that want to test themselves. Approx. 6km run/walk starting in the Rakaia Domain turn right into Normanby Road, follow track into Pony Club Cross Country Course run/walk west, over some choice obstacles to the entrance gate where you head for tome, turn left into Rakaia River Terrace Walkway and follow track to finish.

MTB event:
New Event this year. This event will be utilizing the Pony Club Cross Country Course and other river tracks.

All distances are approximate and subject to changes due to river conditions, track conditions and road management requests.
